Brogue Cornhole

 My name is Adam Norris I turn the big 50 this September. I have been married to my lovely wife Angela for over 20 years. Camping, playing cornhole or hanging out at home is where you will find me enjoying a few frosty beverages. The first time I played cornhole was early 2000’s in Indiana at my nephews' graduation. 

 Brogue cornhole was created in 2019, in the town of Brogue Pa. Initially (before 2019) SnS cornhole was running weekly blind draws at our venue. Once SnS stopped running events it left a void in the local area for a place to play cornhole. With some persuasion from local players, we made the decision to organize a club. The venue was still available and initially we borrowed boards from anyone who was willing to bring them. Local players consistently showed up at our Tuesday event and dealt with our start up shenanigans and from there it grew.

 With our first full season under our belt, we decided to start running fundraiser events on weekends for sports programs. With the intention of relieving some of the financial burden associated with youth sports. Guidance from SNS and other organizers in the community helped us become efficient in running events smoothly. Over the following season we picked up a few wonderful sponsors. Double Deuces RV Roofing who helped provide us the ability to get new boards, tablets, and banners. And Innov8 cornhole our bag sponsor. They provided fully customizable bags for our players and the community.

Supporting the community is important to us, last year we reached out to Toys for Tots to help fill boxes of new toys for children in need. This year we doubled last year's collection and hope to do the same next year.

Getting to know players, their families and friends is one of the best parts of running cornhole. Meeting so many really awesome people along the way and we look forward to meeting many more. Win, lose, or draw we will always love the great sport of cornhole.
